Family Fun

Hey everybody! Well it has been a while since I updated this…sorry about that. Well it was just the same old same old for a while there but now I have something exciting to report! My mom came for her first visit to Santa Monica! It was so good to see her and spend time with her and my step dad Chris. They camped at Leo Carrillo State Park and I was lucky enough to spend one night there with them and then spend a couple of days playing on the beach with them. Greg was finishing up finals and once he was done we spent a day at the beach with him and we also were able to take them to the farmers market and for a walk down Main Street. We had such a wonderful time with them and look forward to having more family visits in the future! I will be updating this again soon as Greg and I are being spontaneous and going camping tomorrow for a few days!

My favorite picture...duck butt's!!!!

Walking the dog...

So Pico and I are both trying to get back in shape. Since moving to Samo neither one of us has gotten a lot of activity. So lately we have a bit of a routine going, I go to the gym in the morning and take Pico for a walk in the afternoon…this usually happens three days a week. Well today was one of those days. I took Pico to the groomers this morning and I went to the gym and then back to pick him up. After a brief nap…I LOVE naps; anyway after our nap we headed out on a walk. Those of you who know Pico know that he has a little…shall we say…spunk! He loves to bark and growl at anything that moves, this includes pigeons, people, cars and bikes. Knowing this I try really hard to make it easier on both myself and him by avoiding the majority of people. Well today I missed the boat, we saw everything and everyone. One group of people found his antics so amusing they chose to video tape him. Let me just say this Pico is the sweetest dog in the whole entire world. He loves Greg and I and he actually really likes to get pet and loved on…it’s just that his genes get in the way. Above all else he is a Chihuahua and that means they are a one family dog and don’t necessarily play that nice with others. So in case you ever come to Samo and see a little black and white dog having a fit on the sidewalk now you know his story.

Worn out from all that barking!

I know that these pictures are out of order but for today I am going to let it slide!

Day by day

Ahhhh the mundane tasks of everyday life. Everyday I try to think of something exciting that happened that I could post to our blog, and everyday the blog does not get an update. The truth is that really and truly I don’t know if I could pick something out that was exciting if it came up and slapped me in the face! In my everyday life right now I am busy studying like crazy and doing the normal house hold chores. I only have class every Tuesday and Thursday but on the days where I had planned on doing lots of exciting things (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) I find that I am still so busy with the mundane tasks of life that somehow all the excitement passes me by. I can say this though, on the days that I don’t have school I really enjoy my short time at the gym. I also really enjoy the fact that when the weekend hits all the chores are done and Greg and I have time to do things outside of the house rather than trying to get everything done in two days. That being said, over the weekend we organized the inside of our apartment and went for a two hour walk down the beach and around town. This brings me back to the beginning of this post…ahhhh the mundane tasks of everyday life.
